Monday, May 20 The Fed will be the center of attention on Wednesday. Chairman Bernanke will testify before the JEC on Wednesday morning, and the minutes of the April 30-May 1 FOMC meeting will be released later that afternoon. We doubt that we will get any clear signals about when the Fed might start scaling back its asset purchases, but we might get a reminder that the Fed might not finish phasing out its bond purchases for quite some time to come. more »
